Two and a half weeks to go

Starting to freak out

WOW!!! I've got two weeks to go! I think I'm well and truly ready for a change of scene. I’ve been feeling really run down and generally not healthy lately. I’m pretty sure I've done everything that needs to be done. New glasses, insurance, vaccinations, credit cards, electoral roll, packing up - you name it. All time consuming, and expensive :o) However I must add I have been very good with not getting to over organised and have done absolutely no research of where I am going, or what it will look like. The Au Pair that’s there at the moment, wanted to send me some photos of what my room looks like, but I’ve said no. Strange I know, but I kind of want to be surprised when I get off the plane, and have sensory overload. That’s what I’m looking forward to the most.

At the moment, I’m just trying to get all of my marking down before I go, and trying to find a new flatmate, to take my place. There are a few very special people out there. Ah the joys of flatting. I’m having a farewell dinner with all the Hamilton crew on the 2nd of June, so if you’re around, feel free to come along.

Well take care of yourselves, where ever you are.

Five weeks to go

Hi all, thanks for checking out my blog. As I am new to this whole blog thing you'll have to stick with me a bit. I promise once I get over there I'll actually have things to write about. I have a little over five weeks to go before I head off to Wiesbaden in Germany. Which if you're looking at a map, find Luxembourg then go horizontally across and just before Frankfurt-am-Main you'll see Wiesbaden. I think its got a population of 274,000. And is literally 20 minutes away from Frankfurt which has a population of 648,325.

I fly out of NZ on the 6th of June, into Japan for a day and night then get in to Frankfurt nearly 48 hours after I left.

I am going to be looking after and living with two little boys Max and Mike and their parents names are Nicole and Frank. Until then I am still teaching.

I've already found out one of Rowenas freinds is going to be in Mainz in June, which is literally across the river from my city. Also Monique Kilpatrick who I went to primary with is spending a few weeks in Germany in July and is most likely to come stay. Small world huh.
